Baby Food Prices Going Up
Where have all the good old days gone, when the price of gas was just $1.50 and a gallon of milk was still $2. I was walking through the grocery store last month and gazing at all the neatly stacked soup cans and noticed that a small can of Cambell's Chicken Noodle was $1.50! You see, I don't buy condensed soups and last the time I had looked at the pricing of Cambell's must have been 10 years ago when the price was $0.75 each!
Yes, with the rising price of food we can all assume that the price of jarred baby food is also on the up and up. Strolling through the market you'll find the price of Earth's Best Beginner jars are almost $0.70 a piece, but look 2 years ago and they were just a touch over $0.50! Another great reason to make your own baby food at home!

Baby Artichokes Have Most Amount of
Antioxidants Than Any Other Veggie
In a recent study, USDA researchers found that artichokes have more disease-fighting antioxidants than any other veggie tested. Chomp a few of the smaller egg-shaped artichokes as a snack because they're so soft you can eat the entire artichoke! Great snack for busy moms who need a boost!

Safety First When Making Baby Food
Do you know the correct way to cool baby food prior to storage? Many parents don't but no worries we'll tell you how. The proper way to cool baby food is over a bowl filled with ice water. Use a thermometer and when the food reaches 40 degrees F. Place in storage containers and put away immediately. This prevents harmful bacteria to begin forming on the food which can lead to food poisoning.
